Shaughnessy’s tough setup has continued to drive scores
higher this afternoon, pushing the cut line to 4-over par. The cut
line bump means that two-time RBC Canadian Open champion Jim Furyk,
4 over, is one of 76 players to make it through to the weekend.
Also just making it through to the weekend were Brian Gay, Kevin
Streelman and Dustin Risdon, one of five Canadians to make the cut
at their national open. Just outside the cut line at 5 over were
Americans Matt Kuchar, George McNeill and John Rollins. Canadian
Nick Taylor also just missed the cut after posting a Friday 74 to
put him at 5 over for the week. Stephen Ames was one of a dozen
Canadians to miss out on the weekend at Shaughnessy. Other notables
missing the cut were Stuart Appleby, Camilo Villegas, Paul Casey
and 2010 champion Carl Pettersson.
