Dean Wilson is well aware of what's on the line this week. After a
close call at the RBC Canadian earlier this year (he finished
runner-up to Carl Pettersson), Wilson spoke honestly about the
grind he had ahead of him to avoid q-school. "I'm not going to get
in very many tournaments from here on out," he said. "We'll see,
maybe I can get another sponsor invite here and there, but I'm
going to have to make a few more bucks to get into the top 125."
After the Canadian, Wilson finished in the top-25 twice in six
tournaments to move him to the bubble line; he started this week
ranked 122nd. And he has been invited to next week's tournament,
where he'll have another shot to secure his position on the money
list. He may not need it, though. Wilson has gone 69-64 in the
first two rounds, and is projected to move to 78th on the money
list, which would put him well within the safety zone to secure his
TOUR card for 2011. Today, he's recorded one birdie in seven holes
to move in a four-way tie for second at 10 under for the week. Also
at 10 under are Ryuji Imada, Tim Herron and Bo Van Pelt. Track his
