A corking shot

That's what they call them over here. Brilliant. And it was a brilliant corker that led to a closing eagle for 996 British Open champ Tom Lehman. Lehman, who opened the tournament with a 68, launched a drive on the 356-yard 18th and it rolled up to 2 feet. Lehman polished it off for eagle and a  4-under 284. Not a bad way to jumpstart his run to the Senior British Open Championship next week at Carnoustie where Loren Roberts is defending. -- Melanie Hauser
