The decision by HP Byron Nelson Championship tournament officials to give free admission to kids 16-and-under for Sunday's final round has paid dividends.
According to one tournament official, "a couple of thousand" 16-and-under fans took advantage of the free offer that resulted in response to 16-year-old amateur Jordan Speith making the cut this week.
Spieth became the sixth youngest player to make the cut at a PGA TOUR event and he's remained in contention this weekend.
