IRVING, Texas -- With the final twosome now having started their final round, the hottest players on the course are Morgan Hoffmann and Charley Hoffman, each at 4 under on their rounds.

Hoffman has two birdies and an eagle at the par-5 seventh and has just made the turn.

Hoffmann has five birdies, including at the 10th and 11th holes to bounce back from a bogey at the ninth.

Each player is at 8 under, currently five shots off the lead held by Keegan Bradley. With windy conditions expected for the rest of the afternoon, an early low score could look pretty nice at the end of the day.

Ricky Barnes currently has the low score of all finishers thus far, shooting a 4-under 66 to finish at 5 under.

IRVING, Texas -- Scott Piercy has just teed off to begin his final round at the HP Byron Nelson Championship. Starting three stokes behind Keegan Bradley, Piercy is seeking his third PGA TOUR win in as many years.

He knows he needs to be aggressive on Sunday in order to catch Bradley. But he also knows he'll need to pick his spots at the TPC Four Seasons Resort.

"It's more defense on this golf course than offense," Piercy said. "You can make a lot of bogeys, and it doesn't give you a lot of birdies because because you have awkward lies in the fairways with cross winds and pins that are tucked. It's hard to get the ball close."

Piercy didn't need to get the ball close in shooting a 4-under 66 on Saturday, making two birdie putts outside 45 feet and another outside 30 feet. If his putter remains hot on Sunday, he'll have a chance.

"Going to play steady golf (Sunday) and take my birdies where I can get 'em and eliminate the bad stuff," Piercy said. "If Keegan doesn't run away and hide, I might have a chance."

Piercy has shot 66-68-66 to get to his 10 under total through three rounds. He figures another 68 in the tough conditions Sunday might do the trick.

"If the wind is going to be up as much as they say it's going to be, there is going to be a lot of defense," Piercy said. "So a couple under (Sunday) could go a long ways."

IRVING, Texas -- Louis Oosthuizen has withdrawn from the HP Byron Nelson Championship before Sunday's final round because of a neck issue.

The 2010 British Open champion was at 3-under 207 and tied for 32nd place after shooting even-par 70 in the third round.

Oosthuizen entered the HP Byron Nelson with the No. 7 world ranking, the highest-ranked player in the field. He had missed the cut in his only other appearance in this event.

Michael Bradley also withdrew Sunday morning with a back problem. Bradley was 2 under.

Oosthuizen is also set to play in next week's Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. Bradley is not on the field list for that invitational tournament.

Since 72 players made the secondary cut after three rounds, Oosthuizen and Bradley will get paid equal to a 71st-place finish at the Nelson. - Associated Press

IRVING, Texas -- Tom Gillis wants nothing better than to overtake Keegan Bradley and win his first PGA TOUR event in Sunday's final round of the HP Byron Nelson Championship.

But that doesn't mean the 44-year-old Gillis, who starts the round two shots off the lead, isn't a big fan of Bradley. The two practice and play out of the same club in South Florida, and on Saturday, Gillis got his first up-close look at Bradley in a TOUR event as one of his playing partners.

"He's the 'new breed,' I call it. Very powerful," Gillis said. "That's the future of the game. He's one of the best players out here, there is no doubt.

"I've played with a lot of them, but this is the first time I've played with him in a tournament, and it's there. He's got the grit. He wants to do it. The sky is probably the limit."

The 26-year-old Bradley is seeking his fourth TOUR win and second HP Byron Nelson title on Sunday.

Here's a quick rundown of the final two groups Sunday at the HP Byron Nelson Championship:

1:30 p.m. ET

Keegan Bradley (13 under): Gunning for second win at TPC Four Seasons in three years. Beat Ryan Palmer in a windy, dry playoff in 2011 for his first career win. Made a ton of birdies this week (19 in only 54 holes) but he's also made eight bogeys.

Sang-Moon Bae (12 under): Second-year PGA TOUR player; got card at 2011 q-school. Good rookie year in 2012, with over $1 million earned and two top-10s. Shot a trio of 66s this week, with only four bogeys. Best finish this year was a T8 at Northern Trust Open. This is his first start at TPC Four Seasons.

1:21 p.m. ET

Tom Gillis (11 under): Gillis, 44, has never won on the PGA TOUR. He tied for second at the 2012 The Honda Classic, when Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods battled for the win on the final day (McIlroy won). Has just one bogey on the front nine this week, and his experience should help him in Sunday's windy conditions. 

Scott Piercy (10 under): Erratically brilliant player who can make birdies in bunches. Already has two wins on TOUR in 139 starts, and he's among the longer hitters on TOUR, which doesn't hurt on TPC Four Season's long par-70 layout. Tied for 15th here last year after shooting par or better in every round. Sank three long putts Saturday to shoot 67.

After one of the coldest springs in recent memory in North Texas, the heat arrived this week at the HP Byron Nelson Championship. On Sunday, the winds will be there, too.

Winds around 25 mph are expected, and gusts of 35 mph are possible.

How will leader Keegan Bradley handle the conditions? If history is to be believed, very well. His first PGA TOUR victory came here in 2011 in a playoff vs. Ryan Palmer in windy, dry conditions. Bradley shot a 68 that day despite the conditions to catch Palmer, who shot 72.

Ironically, there was a shot of another Bradley-Palmer showdown on Sunday, but Palmer shot a 73 in the third round and will start the final round nine shots back.

Tom Gillis, who begins the final round only two shots back, is another player who shouldn't be bothered by the windy conditions. He tied for second The Honda Classic in 2012, which is played at wind-swept PGA National. Gillis, 44, has played all over the world in all types of conditions, and he said on Saturday that he was planning on fairways and greens for the final round.

"Just like I have all week, I've tried to make it as boring as I can, hit it in the center of the green and even if it's 25, 30-feet, have a roll at it and go from there," Gillis said.
