LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Tee times have been released for the first two rounds of this week's BMW Championship, the third event in the FedExCup Playoffs. Seventy players will tee off in the no-cut event, with the top 30 in FedExCup points advancing to next week's Playoffs finale, the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola.
As with all FedExCup Playoffs events, players are grouped by their FedExCup points position to start the tournament. Here's a look at the top groups (with points rank in parentheses):
Henrik Stenson (1), Tiger Woods (2), Adam Scott (3) -- Woods is sandwiched between the first two winners of this year's Playoffs events. Expect all three to finish inside the top five once the BMW ends. Tee times: Rd. 1 - 10:53 a.m ET off 10th tee; Rd. 2 - 11:59 a.m. ET off 1st tee
Matt Kuchar (4), Graham DeLaet (5), Phil Mickelson (6) -- The Canadian DeLaet has played the best of any non-winner in the Playoffs, with a tie for second and a third. Tee times: Rd. 1 - 11:59 a.m. ET off 1st tee; Rd. 2 - 10:53 a.m. ET off 10th tee
Justin Rose (7), Steve Stricker (8), Brandt Snedeker (9) -- Rose and Stricker rank inside the top 10 in greens in regulation; Stricker and Snedeker are inside the top 10 in strokes gained-putting. Tee times: Rd. 1 - 10:42 a.m. ET off 10th tee; Rd. 2 - 11:48 a.m. ET off 1st tee
Jordan Spieth (10), Keegan Bradley (11), Jason Day (12) -- The future of the PGA TOUR can been seen in this threesome, with the 20-year-old Spieth, the 25-year-old Day and the 27--year-old Bradley. Tee times: Rd. 1 - 11:48 a.m. ET off 1st tee; Rd. 2 - 10:42 a.m. ET off 10th tee.
OTHERS: Luke Donald, who is a member at Conway Farms and probably knows the course better than anyone else in the field, plays with fellow Englishman Ian Poulter and American Charley Hoffman ... Daniel Summerhays gets to play alongside two major winners -- Bubba Watson and defending BMW champ Rory McIlroy ... Jim Furyk, Jason Dufner and Gary Woodland are in a threesome.
