LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- For players looking to secure a spot in the top 125 on the money list, the season has come down to this: One round of golf to secure a job for next year.

Charlie Beljan, who leads by two after three rounds of the Children’s Miracle Network Classic, came into the week on the outside looking in. But a win of course takes care of everything for the rookie. Others will be playing for position.

Here’s a look at who moved up, and who moved down, in the projected money list with just 18 holes left in the season.

WHO’S UP>>>

Vaughn Taylor: He came in 142nd on the money list and in need of a big week after three missed cuts in his last five starts. So far, Taylor is having just that. He shot his second straight 68 Saturday to move into a tie for fifth at 10 under. As a result, he’s projected to move to 125th. In other words, he can’t afford to slip up on Sunday. Started: 142nd. Projected: 125th.

Jeff Maggert: The veteran is right back to where he started the week following a 68 on Saturday. That was a two-shot improvement from his second round, but at this point every shot counts. Started: 122d. Projected: 122nd.

Charlie Beljan: A win would take of a lot of things for the 28-year-old rookie. But even if he doesn’t hang on, he can still easily secure a spot in the top 125 -- as long as he doesn’t completely tumble down the leaderboard. Started: 139th. Projected: 63rd.

James Driscoll: The Boston native missed the cut, and he’s fallen three spots in the projections, but he should be safe when it all shakes out on Sunday.  Started: 120th. Projected: 123rd.

Tim Herron: Thanks to a 67 on Saturday, Herron moved up three spots in the projections. But if he wants to finish in the top 125, Herron is going to have to move up the leaderboard again on Sunday. Started: 136th. Projected: 133rd.

WHO’S DOWN>>>

Camilo Villegas: The three-time TOUR winner moved up four spots on the leaderboard thanks to a third-round 70, but he needs to move up even more to finish inside the top 125 and secure a card for next season. Started: 150th. Projected: 132nd.

Kevin Chappell: Three bogeys on the final four holes of his front nine hurt as Chappell carded a 72 and fell seven spots down the leaderboard. He’s now precariously close to falling outside the top 125, too. Started: 123rd. Projected: 124th.

D.J. Trahan: The good news: Trahan moved 16 spots up the leaderboard after a 68 Saturday that included two birdies over his final three holes. The bad news: He’s still projected to finish outside the top 125. He’ll need another good round on Sunday. Started: 130th. Projected: 126th.

Alexandre Rocha: A 75 sent Rocha crashing down the leaderboard and into a tie for last at 77th. Likewise, he fell a few spots in the projected standings and is going to need a big turnaround Sunday. Started: 128th. Projected: 131st.

Rod Pampling: The Aussie missed the cut and is sweating out the results from home. Saturday, he fell a few spots and out of the projected 125. He’ll need some help from others to move back up. Started: 124th. Projected: 127th.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Despite what was believed to be a panic attack that kept Charlie Beljan in the hospital overnight, the third round of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic ended the way it started: With Beljan in the lead.

The 28-year-old rookie shot a 71 to move to 13 under and two shots clear of Brian Gay, Josh Teater and Charlie Wi.

Beljan entered the week 139th on the money list but with one round to go in the final event of the season, he’s in position for his first career win, which would guarantee him a TOUR card for the next two years.

After making two bogeys in his first three holes Saturday, Beljan bounced back with four birdies over his next eight. He added two more on the back nine.

Beljan has plenty of company close behind him on the leaderboard with 10 players within three shots. Among that group are Camilo Villegas and Tommy Gainey, both of whom are three back. Villegas, 150th on the money list and in danger of losing his card at the start of the week, is looking for his first win in two years. Gainey is looking for his second in as many starts after winning The McGladrey Classic two weeks ago.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Early on it looked like the residual effects of Charlie Beljan’s possible panic attack on Friday might get the best of him in the third round. He wasn’t sure if he would last two holes or all 18.

Then Beljan opened with two bogeys in his first three holes.

He’s since recovered, however, with four birdies over his last eight holes to get to 14 under and two shots clear of his nearest competitor.

Still, it’s a crowded leaderboard here in the third round. Eleven players are within four shots of the lead. Among them: Charlie Wi, who led after the first round following a 64, and Camilo Villegas, who came into the week 150th on the money list and in need of a good finish to secure his card for next year.

Tommy Gainey, who won the last event on the Fall Series a couple of weeks ago, is also 10 under.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Brian Gay’s birdie streak ended at five after a par on the par-3 15th hole. Still, he’s 7 under on the day and 13 under for the week and in the lead -- for now -- by a shot.

Right behind him? Charlie Beljan. He recovered from a rough start, making two bogeys in his first three holes, to get to even par by the turn. Charles Howell III is also at 12 under.

They have plenty of company, too. Camilo Villegas and Josh Teater are both 11 under, while six others are another stroke back at 10 under.

Among the latter: Tommy Gainey, who’s looking for his second win in his last two starts, and Scott Stallings, who is looking for his third career win.
