It's Zurich Classic week -- and Chris Couch (2006) and David Frost (1990) both sealed their wins in New Orleans in dramatic fashion. Check out the top 10 hole outs that have sealed victory on the 72nd hole or in sudden death on the PGA TOUR (excluding majors).

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Chris Couch and Henrik Stenson withdrew from the Wyndham Championship on Friday.

Stenson, who opened with a 68, withdrew before the start of the second round due to illness. He came to Greensboro ranked 112th in the FedExCup.

Couch injured his wrist and withdrew after 12 holes. Couch, who shot 70 in the first round, was ranked 153rd in the FedExCup entering the Wyndham Championship.

EDISON, N.J. – Steve Flesch has become the fourth player to withdraw from The Barclays, stopping after nine holes of his second round while suffering from a sinus headache.

Flesch came into the week ranked 121st and will not earn any FedExCup points. So he will miss next week’s Deutsche Bank Championship and the rest of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup.

Stuart Appleby and Chris Couch withdrew prior to the start of their second rounds, citing back injuries. Pat Perez withdrew on Thursday after his first round.

EDISON, N.J. – Stuart Appleby and Chris Couch have withdrawn from The Barclays prior to the start of their second rounds.

Appleby, who opened with an 81, and Couch, who shot 77 in the first round, both cited back injuries. They are the second and third players to withdraw this week – Pat Perez left Thursday after opening with a 79.

If he’s healthy, Couch should still be eligible for the Deutsche Bank Championship, which begins Friday. He came to The Barclays ranked No. 78 in the FedExCup and was projected at No. 89 when he withdrew. The top 100 in the standings will play at TPC Boston.

Appleby started the week at No. 113 in the FedExCup standings and didn’t earn any points at The Barclays. The Aussie will now have a five-week break from competition to heal.

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. -- What a difference a year makes.

In 2010, 77 players completed four rounds at The Greenbrier Classic and 46 of those shot four rounds in the 60s -- or in Stuart Appleby's case, three in the 60s and one 59.

Only four players have that opportunity on Sunday, though. They are Anthony Kim, Webb Simpson, Chris Couch and John Merrick.

Looks like the restoration of the Old White TPC has accomplished its mission to make the C.B. Macdonald/Seth Raynor creation more challenging.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. -- Chris Couch just withdrew from the AT&T National, citing a lower back injury.

Couch, who opened with a 73, played nine holes Friday before pulling out. He was 7 over with six bogeys, one double bogey and a birdie.

Earlier in the day, Boo Wekley withdrew due to a rib injury. He pulled out before his round started. Weekley shot 75 in the first round.

Garrett Willis and Chris Couch started the day paired together in the final group at 9 under ... and both are still stuck at that number.

Their even-par rounds still have them in a tie for eighth, but Justin Rose (and six others) have blown right by them on a good day for scoring at Copperhead.

Couch is 1 over on the par-fives today. he hit the long par-5 11th in two shots, but three-putted from only 15 feet.

Chris Couch fired a 29 on the back nine at Copperhead on Friday.

Chris Couch doesn't turn 38 until later this spring, but to hear him talk, he's got the body of a 55-year-old man. He's in more pain than a blacksmith's anvil, but that hasn't stopped him from playing some of the best golf of his life.

Couch tore up Copperhead's back nine on Friday, firing a 29 and barely missing a birdie putt on No. 18 that would have sent him to 10 under and an sure spot in the final group come Saturday. The Gainesville, Fla. product hasn't won since the 2006 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, mainly because he lost two years due to injury. He got his card back in 2010 after scoring two top-five finishes, including a tie for fourth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard.

Back to the pain. It's best to just let Couch explain it. And why he wears three bracelets on each wrist.
"I think it helps blood flow.  So it helps all of your aches and pains," Couch said. "I have the copper magnets on the bottoms here, and this is kind of like a keep-your-mind focused deal.

"But I have tendonitis in my left elbow, in the upper and lower elbow, and I don't know, I couldn't tell you if they work or not, but I do know that when I take them off, that tendonitis flares [up] and when I have them on, there's no pain."

Couch used to play 30 times a year, but he says those days are long gone. He's only made four starts this year, but he's finished in the top 10 in two of them.

And a win?

"It would mean a lot. You know, I feel like I'm good enough to win, and I've been playing well enough this year and last year to win," Couch said. "And you know, it's just hard to come back from an injury. It would definitely mean a lot to me. I've been blessed to be back out here. God has given me an opportunity to come back from an injury which I didn't know if I was going to be able to come back or not. I mean, there was times when my shoulder was so bad that I thought that was going to be my career."

The kicker is that Couch is swinging the club better than ever. He worked on some swing changes over the winter, and his ball-striking has been solid. He missed only two greens on Friday.

"I had a good year last year, a little bit of inconsistency, so we were looking for the consistency this year, and so far, so good," Couch said. "Hopefully, I can keep working on those moves and as they say, ball goes straight."
