Hunter Haas and Kris Blanks will miss the remainder of the 2012 season due to injury.
Haas, who is 149th in the FedExCup standings, announced on Monday via Twitter that he’s undergoing hip surgery and will be “out till next year.”
The 35-year-old made 12 cuts in 24 starts with one top 10 this year. He last played in July at the Reno-Tahoe Open, where he tied for 31st.
Blanks, meanwhile, is out with a shoulder injury. “Well it's official, I'm shutting it down for the rest of the season. Shoulder is still bothering me and I'm tired of hurting,” he said via Twitter.
The 39-year-old made just 11 cuts in 23 starts with only one finish in the top 25. He last played at last month’s John Deere Classic, where he missed the cut. It was his third missed cut in his last four starts.
Blanks, who is 138th in the FedExCup standings, was awaiting word Monday evening on whether or not he would need surgery.
Luke Donald had the best shot at Copperhead, but the week was filled with great players on each tour.

PALM HARBOR, Fla. -- Playing alongside Scott Piercy, who shot a 9-under 62 to take the clubhouse lead at 12 under, Kris Blanks had his own highlight with a hole-in-one on the par-3 17th hole.
Using a 4-iron from 216 yards, Blanks’ shot flew to the back right pin, bounced and went into the hole. He didn’t see it go in but knew it did once a roar came up from the crowd.
It was the first ace of Blanks’ career on the PGA TOUR and the second here this week.
On Saturday, Stewart Cink aced the 190-yard eighth hole with a 6-iron.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- For the second straight year, Kris Blanks doesn't have to sweat keeping his card.
He's taking a different approach to the Fall Series, though. And it showed in Thursday's 67 on the Magnolia Course that left Blanks one shot off the lead in the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic.
The strong start shouldn't come as a surprise, either. Blanks,
who started the week 74th on the money list in his sophomore
season, tied for 10th in Las Vegas and shared 11th last week at The
McGladrey Classic.
"Last year once I had my card locked up, I pretty much took the
Fall Series off," said Blanks, who was speaking figuratively after
missing the cut in three of those four events. "... I just moved to
Florida, I just had a new house, and was really just enjoying my
accomplishment, keeping my card.
"This year, I'm trying to run through the finish line instead
of coast. So it's been good. ... I'm still one of the last guys to
leave the putting green, and I'm seeing results on the golf course.
So it's a lot of fun."
Blanks, who birdied four of his first five holes Thursday, has completed quite a turnaround after missing six of his first eight cuts this season. First of all, Blanks went back to his old Titleist ball after experimenting with the new one. He also returned to the shafts he'd used previously after switching to compensate for the new ball.
"It took a couple weeks to kind of settle everything down," Blanks said.
An old instructor, V.J. Trolio, seeing that Blanks had gotten off track with the changes he'd made, weighed in, too. And one of Blanks' friends, Travis Perkins, started caddying for him -- which was the final piece of the puzzle, the TOUR pro said.
"(Trolio) just sent me a text message and saw I was struggling," Blanks said. "He said, you know, Bro, I could help you. Let's get back together. He came to New Orleans and we kind of got going the right direction. So between that, the caddie and just I play much better in the summertime anyway once it heats up.
“Then obviously you get some confidence going."
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – With a few exceptions, scoring appears to have become more difficult this windswept Thursday afternoon.
Derek Lamely, who won last year’s Puerto Rico Open, has moved into the logjam at 6 under after getting up-and-down for birdie at the par-4 fourth hole. Lamely, who entered the week ranked 188th on the money list but with a year remaining on his exemption from the win, is playing the more difficult Magnolia Course.
So is Kris Blanks and he’s prospering, too. Blanks, who is playing one group behind Lamely and has completed 16 holes, also birdied the fourth and stands 5 under for the tournament.
Over at the Palm Course, Paul Stankowski is 5 under through 15 holes. He started the week ranked No. 137 on the money list.
