Connecticut's Golf Experience

After more than 60 years of thrilling golf moments, spectators who have come to know and love the Travelers Championship have a lot to look forward to this year. The Travelers Championship is sure to be another world-class spectator experience in Connecticut.

At the Travelers Championship, fans can expect to witness intense competition as players compete for $6.8 million - the tournament's largest purse ever. The Travelers Celebrity Pro-Am means the chance to see high profile celebrity appearances play alongside the PGA TOUR professionals.

Located in Cromwell, Conn, the Travelers Championship is Connecticut's only PGA TOUR's event. Don't miss your chance to see the pros in action.

Driving Directions

From the North

I-91 South to Exit 23/West St., Rocky Hill. Left at end of ramp, straight to intersection of Rt. 99 and West St., right onto Rt. 99 (Silas Deane Highway), 2 miles to TPC.

From the South

I-91 North to Exit 21/Rt. 372. Left onto 372. Left onto Rt. 3, right onto Court Street, left onto Rt. 99. Follow signs to TPC.

From the West

Rt. 9 South to Exit 19. Right onto West St., immediate right onto Rt. 3 for 1 mile. Turn right onto Court St., follow to end, left onto Rt. 99 (Main St.), 1/2 mile to TPC.

From the East

Rt. 9 North through Middletown. Exit 18/Rt. 99 Cromwell/ Rocky Hill. Follow signs through Cromwell to TPC

Parking
Ample parking for the general public is available daily on-site in Lot B for $10 if purchased in advance (available on www.travelerschampionship.com), $15 at the gate. On-site parking lots open at 6:00 am daily and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you arrive early, the walk is only a few minutes to the main gate; late arrivals will have to park further out in Lot B and they will have a 10-minute walk.

Sponsors and spectators holding VIP parking passes should note that these lots have limited space and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Those holding VIP parking passes should arrive early to gain access to these lots. Once full, all spectators are directed to the general parking lot, Lot B.

Parking for Spectators with Disabilities

Handicap Access

The Travelers Championship takes all possible measures to make the event accessible for spectators with special needs.

Parking
Parking for spectators with disabilities is available for vehicles with a valid state permit at Woodside Intermediate School in Cromwell, CT (300 Woodside Road, Cromwell, CT 06416). A complimentary wheel chair accessible shuttle will be provided and transport spectators from the parking lot to the 18th green.

Restrooms
Handicap accessible restrooms are available at each restroom location, which includes the main gate, adjacent to the Patriots Outpost, 5th/6th hole entrance, 8th hole, 12th hole, 14th green, 17th green and the 18th green..

First Aid Stations
First Aid stations are located near the clubhouse area and the 5th, 12th and 17th holes.

Attendee Tips

The Mobile Device Policy
The PGA TOUR permits spectators to bring personal mobile devices to the Travelers Championship. In order for the Travelers Championship to retain this program, there are various policies that must be developed and implemented regarding the use of mobile devices.

What is a Mobile Device?

A mobile device is any device that is able to send or receive calls or data such as emails or text messages. Examples include:

  • Cell Phone
  • iPhone
  • iPad
  • Blackberry
  • Pager
What is the cell phone policy?
  • Cell phones must be on silent and calls can only occur in designated "cell phone zones."
  • Texting and emailing are allowed outside of the cell phone zones unless it is near play.
  • Cell phones are allowed to be used in the Fan Zone and Concession locations as well as inside enclosed tents, such as Corporate Row, but not on the outside platforms or in the Skyboxes.
  • Violators will be warned and devices will be confiscated if the situation warrants.
Important items to remember:
  • Cameras are only allowed Monday - Wednesday and are not mobile devices.
  • No audio or video is allowed at any time.
  • Cell phones can be confiscated by a mobile device committee volunteer or a hole captain.
  • A security personnel should be present in an event of a confiscation.
  • If a confiscation occurs, the spectator will be given a receipt and the device will be held at the main gate (Lot B parking area) until 6:00 PM. After 6:00 PM, it will be held in the tournament office. Any questions, please contact the tournament office at 860-502-6800.


Purses, Fanny Packs, Coolers, Backpacks, etc.
Small purses (approximately six inches by six inches) and fanny packs are permitted, but are subject to search. Coolers, backpacks, packages, bags and all other items larger than a fanny pack or purse are not permitted. Spectators bringing chairs must remove the chairs from their bags. No chair bags will be permitted. Spectators are asked to leave any unnecessary items at home or in their cars. Travelers Championship Admission Gates
There are three (3) admission gates to the Travelers Championship. The Main Gate is across from the 9th Green and can be accessed via the Access Road off Rte 99 through the main spectator parking lot. Parking Passes must be displayed on the rear view mirror as you enter the Access Road. The second gate (at the 9th fairway) can be accessed via foot via Golf Club Road. The third gate (at the 6th Green area) can be accessed via foot on Field Road.

Gates open at 7:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday and at 6:00 am on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.


Spikes
If you plan to wear golf shoes to the tournament, please note that the TPC River Highlands golf course has a No Metal Spikes Policy.

Please Be Considerate
Please be considerate at all times for the PGA TOUR players and other spectators by making no unnecessary noise and refraining from making any movement, which would disrupt play on the golf course.

Please be alert
Golf balls, especially on Pro-Am days, may inadvertently be hit into spectator areas at any time.

Keep an eye on the sky
As the weather is unpredictable, we suggest you take the necessary precautions to avoid being uncomfortable while watching the championship. Don't forget: Wear appropriate and comfortable clothing and footwear; bring a hat or a visor; carry an umbrella and suntan lotion. Watch the leader boards for "Weather Warnings." Travelers Championship spectators are strongly urged to take precautions and seek shelter prior to play being suspended. If sirens sound, put down your umbrella and seek shelter immediately. Avoid small sheds and shelters (i.e. tents); isolated trees; tall trees; wire fences; hilltops; wide open spaces; open fields; bodies of water and golf carts. Seek shelter in a depression in the ground; deep valley; foot of a steep hill; dense woods; grove of trees; or buildings.

Leader Boards
Electronic leader boards are located throughout the course, offering player scores and updates, as well as weather warnings and spectator information.

Lost and Found
Lost & Found is located in the Travelers Championship Tournament Office at the front of the Lot B Parking Lot adjacent to the main gate entrance.

First Aid Stations
First Aid stations are located near the clubhouse area and the 5th, 12th and 17th holes.

Concession Stands
Concession stands are located throughout the golf course selling hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, soda, water, snacks, and beer. Counters and tables are wheelchair height accessible.

Alcoholic Beverages
A vaild photo ID must be presented to obtain alcohol at the event. Valid forms of identification include a current driver's license, military ID or other suitable ID as determined by Tournament Officials. The current legal drinking age is twenty-one (21) years of age. Persons under the legal drinking age consuming alcoholic beverages will be asked to leave the tournament grounds.

Restrooms
Restroom are located throughout the course with ADA accessible portolets available at the clubhouse area, 17th hole, 15th hole and the main gate.
