ATLANTA – Fans at this year’s TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola will have the chance to attend a pre-round “tailgate” party on Saturday, September 13, with a concert from Atlanta’s favorite band, The Yacht Rock Revue™, before the start of the event’s third round from 9:05-10:15 a.m.  The concert is part of the tournament’s new dedication to improve the entertainment experience for fans as the finale of the FedExCup Playoffs returns to East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Sept. 10-14.

Wake up with Yacht Rock will be held at the SO Cool Zone and is open to all Saturday ticket holders. Gates will open at the special, one-time-only, early hour of 8:30 a.m. for concert goers, with shuttles starting from Turner Field at 8:15 a.m. The third round is scheduled to begin at 11:40 a.m. During the concert, don’t miss breakfast options from the newly unveiled Taste of Atlanta restaurants, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and Universal Joint, and morning cocktail options.

According to the band, The Yacht Rock Revue is the Greatest Show on Surf and the finest tribute to ‘70s light rock to ever perform anywhere.  Ever.  Their spot-on renditions of Hall & Oates, Michael McDonald, Steely Dan and the rest of the Time-Life Infomercial Catalog have enthralled fans across the United States.  It goes without saying they have taken their act to the high seas, performing showcase sets on music cruises with Weezer, Kid Rock, Train, Zac Brown Band, Sister Hazel and fitness guru Jillian Michaels.

“Our band has had the privilege of performing at several marquee sporting events in Atlanta this year, and it’s an honor to be invited out to East Lake to play for the 30 best golfers in the world,” said Yacht Rock Revue member Nicholas Niespodziani. “Not to mention the fact that I grew up caddying at East Lake, so it is particularly exciting for me to return to play at the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola. The members I caddied for can agree it’s better to have me back as a musician than a caddie.”

By blurring the lines between a tribute, an original act and a comedic troupe, the Yacht Rock Revue has forged a unique niche market and a special bond with their fans.  The band attacks each song as if it were their own, and the energy exchanged between the band and the crowd has more in common with a stadium U2 show than that of a typical bar band.

The Yacht Rock Revue has packed out shows at historic venues including the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, the Knitting Factory in New York City, Athens’ famed Georgia Theatre, Washington D.C.’s State Theatre and Nashville’s Mercy Lounge. They played at the finish line of the Peachtree Road Race for 50,000-plus participants two years running and played on Turner Field for 30,000 fans on July 4.
