THE PLAYERS Championship and PGA TOUR Contribute $2.25 Million to Charities
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- THE PLAYERS Championship and the PGA TOUR raised $2.25 million for charity in 2004, money
which will be distributed to more than 88 Northeast Florida charities.
The joint contributions benefit a multitude of diverse charities ranging from health and education to community youth organizations
and adolescent drug treatment. Since 1977, when THE PLAYERS Championship moved to Ponte Vedra, more than
$19 million has been contributed to Northeast Florida charities.
