    • THE PLAYERS Championship: Charity

Making a positive impact on the communities where tournaments are held and where players live is the charitable mission of the PGA TOUR. Here in Northeast Florida, that giving back spirit is illustrated through THE PLAYERS Championship. Proceeds from THE PLAYERS benefit Northeaast Florida charities in the five-county area (Baker, Clay, Duval, St. Johns, & Nassau)

$50 million - THE PLAYERS charitable goal announced in April 2011 over 10 years for local youth-related charities

$67.5 million - Total dollars generated for Northeast Florida charities since 1977

$7.5 million - Total generated for local charities in 2014

23,000 - Total complementary military tickets redeemed for 2014 tournament

+2,200 - The number of local volunteers who make THE PLAYERS possible every year

+320 - The number of charities impacted by THE PLAYERS in 2014

213 - The number of participants in the Chip in for Youth fund raising program

118 - The number of participants in the Birdies for Charities campaign

If a charity has 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status and is located in the five-country area,
it may request support from THE PLAYERS via the following programs:

    Birdies for Charity

Charities can earn unlimited funds by participating in Birdies for Charity, and they also are eligible for additional funds from THE PLAYERS Birdies Bonus Pool. Most charities seeking support from THE PLAYERS will be supported through the Birdies for Charity program. For information on THE PLAYERS Birdies for Charity program, click HERE.

    Chip in for Youth

Chip in for Youth provides youth sports associations, schools, parent-teacher organizations and youth-related charities the opportunity to raise funds by promoting the sale of good-any-one-day tickets to THE PLAYERS. Participating organizations will receive from th PGA TOUR $25 of each $45 ticket they sell. The remainder of the net proceeds of each ticket will be donated by TOUR to The First Tee. For additional information on THE PLAYERS Chip in for Youth ticket program, click HERE.

    Red Coat Grant

The Red Coats are a committee of past Chairmen of THE PLAYERS Championship. "Red Coat" grants are typically in the $2,000 - $10,000 range, and there are a limited number of grants awarded by the Red Coat Grant Committee each year. Please look for next year's application following the 2016 tournament.
