Charity
The "Real" Winners
The Boeing Championship raises money for a wide variety of non-profit groups which serve health care, education, children's services, the community, the arts and athletics. All in all, the Boeing Championship has been a stronghold for the Pensacola area as well as one of the leading charitable organizations in the Florida Panhandle.

Since its inception in 1995, more than $2,000,000 has been donated to local charities. Recipients include Sacred Heart Children's Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House and Baptist LifeFlight - just to name a few.

A tax law in Internal Revenue Code Section 274 states that any sponsor of a 501(c)3 sporting event may be entitled to a 100% business deduction for any and all sponsorship monies paid. The Boeing Championship Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization; it appears that your sponsorship payments are not subject to the 50% deduction limitation on entertainment. Please consult your tax advisor. This tax law may be beneficial to your organization.
