Your support of the 3M Championship will benefit emergency care programs at Allina's United Hospital and Mercy & Unity Hospitals. This year Allina's Abbott Northwestern Hospital has earmarked its portion of the proceeds for the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute. In 2006, the 3M Championship donated over $1 million to the hospitals. The tournament has donated over $12 million to charity since 1993.

At United Hospital

At Mercy & Unity Hospitals
Mercy & Unity Hospitals are non-profit hospitals that have been serving the northern Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area for more than 35 years. Together Mercy & Unity have almost 550 beds, employ more than 3,000 employees and are affiliated with more than 700 physicians. For more than 35 years they have been serving more than 250,000 households in the North Metro. Nearly 100 adults and teens volunteer time on behalf of the hospitals.

The 3M Championship Scholarship is in its eighth year and already six high school golfers have received $5,000 each in scholarship money. To be eligible for the $5,000 scholarship, students must have a GPA of 3.0 or better. They must also be a senior in high school, participate on the high school golf team and plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program.
