Through its Life Skills Experience, the First Tee teaches participants how to become responsible, productive young adults, while also teaching them a game that can last a lifetime. The First Tee has nine core values - sportsmanship, confidence, integrity, perseverance, respect, responsibility, judgment, courtesy, and honesty. The First Tee started in 1998 and now operates through a network of 197 chapters in 41 states and five countries. The First Tee of Baltimore operates at Clifton Park Golf Course, part of the Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation, and projects to reach 1,500 young people over the next three years.
