April 1, 2002

Continuing one of the longest relationships on the PGA TOUR, Chrysler has renewed its title sponsorship of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic through the 2006 tournament, it was announced by John Foster, president and tournament chairman. Chrysler has been associated with the tournament since 1965 and the event's title sponsor since 1986.

"The Classic is delighted with the continuation of the long and wonderful association we have had with Chrysler for these many years," stated Foster. "We look forward to the next four years working with Chrysler to present one of the most exciting and widely enjoyed golf events in the world."

"The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic is about two great names coming together to produce one of the premier golfing events on the PGA TOUR circuit," said Jay Kuhnie, Director-Chrysler/Jeep Communication. "We're proud that this was our 17th year as the title sponsor of The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. We look forward to presenting golf fans, our customers and dealers an outstanding tournament for another four years."

"The PGA TOUR is delighted with Chrysler's continued commitment to the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic," said Tim Finchem PGA TOUR Commissioner. "The tournament, with its unique format as the only PGA TOUR event played on four courses, has always been a favorite stop for TOUR players. We are grateful that with the support of a quality sponsor like Chrysler, the tournament has been able to contribute more than $23.5 million to the Eisenhower Medical Center, and more than $36 million total charitable distributions."

The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic has been a mainstay of the TOUR's West Coast Swing for more than 40 years, drawing thousands of spectators and millions of television viewers. Phil Mickelson, the number two-ranked player in the world, won the 43rd annual renewal of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic last January with a dramatic sudden death playoff.

The 2003 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic is scheduled for January 27 to February 2, with the Arnold Palmer Course at PGA West serving as the host course.
