Golf in Puerto Rico continues to make history with a PGA TOUR event, the Puerto Rico Open Presented by Trump International Golf Club Puerto Rico; Coco Beach Resort in Rio Grande, will be the host site for top PGA TOUR professionals on March 3-9, 2014.

As you know, no golf event is possible without the help and hard work from many volunteers. Now the opportunity is knocking on your door. Come join us "inside the ropes" of a PGA TOUR event and be part of the action as a volunteer. You will get close to the players, have the best views, and feel the heat of the moment. Help Puerto Rico shine as a top sporting destination in the world.

The Tournament Committee will send you updates and information via email to keep you up to date and informed as the days get closer. We want to ensure that you have an unforgettable experience.

Volunteers will receive:

• One (1) Volunteer Tournament golf shirt
• One (1) Volunteer Tournament cap
• Breakfast and lunch daily
• Beverages & snacks daily
• Two (2) entrance tickets to tournament grounds each day
• Volunteer Party (date and place TBD)
The volunteer fee is US $50, one of the lowest on the TOUR, and has a value of around $300. (The fee does not apply for volunteers 18 and under).

Volunteer Committee Description

Administration / Office Support: Assist championship staff a week prior and week of tournament with general office duties. Duties will include answering phones, maintaining the office and acting as receptionists to those that need office services. Computer knowledge helpful. Minimal walking or standing.

Product and Supply Delivery: (Wednesday thru Sunday in the morning shift). Responsible for the receipt and distribution of spectator information or incoming materials for the players or caddies. In addition must maintain and distribute supplies, refreshments, and water for players, caddies and volunteers. Very Active Duties.

Volunteer Uniforms and Registration: Distribute uniforms at a place and time To Be Determined. Will be week before the event. Moderate Activity and Standing.

Admissions/Will Call: (Thursday thru Sunday) Committee members are posted at admissions gates to greet and check spectators for proper credentials, police tournament regulations on cell phones and cameras. They will provide general and directional information and serve as Lost & Found and Will Call areas. Minimal walking or standing.

Corporate Hospitality: Assist corporate sponsors in hospitality areas by checking proper credentials, meet and greet, oversee general flow and provide information to corporate guests. Thursday thru Sunday.

Golf Channel: These volunteers will assist the Golf Channel as "microphone reporters" and "spotters" out on the golf course. Golf knowledge is required. Thursday thru Sunday.

Merchandise Tent: Help sell merchandise and organize all the product in the merchandise tent/store. Help customers around the tent/store. Make sure the displays are in order. Thursday thru Sunday.

Marshals: Crowd control. Hold up the Quiet signs, make sure the crowd is not making noise while players get ready to hit., help with the roping of the walk thru paths.
