TIGER'S DRIVE TO FIVE CARRIES OVER TO FANS OF THE TARGET WORLD CHALLENGE PRESENTED BY COUNTRYWIDE AT SHERWOOD COUNTRY CLUB

Another Opportunity for Fans to Gain Discounts on Reserve Tickets to Cheer On World No. 1 Tiger Woods and Defending Champion Luke Donald in Dec. 13-17 Event

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (September 5, 2006) - The spoils of the Tiger Woods victory party are spilling over to the fans of the year-ending tournament extravaganza he hosts. In celebration of Woods winning the past five PGA TOUR events he has entered, fans save $5 per ticket order for the eighth-annual Target World Challenge presented by Countrywide, a PGA TOUR co-sponsored event held at Sherwood Country Club, Dec. 13-17. This ticket discount runs from Sept. 5-Oct.5.

Tickets can be conveniently ordered through the tournament website, targetworldchallenge.com, and can be purchased by phone at 1-800-594-TIXX. Fans faithful to Southern California native Woods - the 2001 and 2004 Target World Challenge champion -- and appreciative of the star-studded, 16-player field that annually arrives to play the most highly regarded event following the PGA TOUR season are wise to reserve tickets now.

Judging by current form, Woods may not be as gracious to his competitors as he is to the Target World Challenge gallery. Woods has won seven of the 14 PGA TOUR events he has played in 2006, including the last five - the British Open, the Buick Open, the PGA Championship, the Bridgestone Invitational and the Deutsche Bank Championship.

Woods' latest British Open and PGA Championship victories leave him alone in second place on the all-time Major win list with 12. He is fifth on the all-time PGA TOUR win list with 53 victories and his current string of consecutive PGA TOUR victories is his longest since he put together a six-tournament winning streak in 1999-2000.

"Tiger's game is roaring right now, as his results have demonstrated, and the Target World Challenge presented by Countrywide is a prime opportunity for people to see the world's top golfer at his best," President Greg McLaughlin said. "As Tiger's winning continues to build, tickets to the Target World Challenge will be in higher demand."

The Target World Challenge will feature 16 of the world's top golfers competing for their share of the $5.75 million purse. Tournament host Woods and defending champion Luke Donald will head a field that will also include the top players (who accept invitations) from the Official World Rankings and select special exemption players chosen by the Tiger Woods Foundation. First prize is $1.35 million and no golfer leaves with less than $170,000.

The best bargain for one's buck is a Weekly Gallery Badge, which can be purchased for $75. The Weekly Gallery Badge is a grounds-only credential for the entire tournament week (Wednesday-Sunday).

Daily Gallery Passes, which are grounds-only passes for individual days, can be purchased for any single day. They are $25 per day on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and $35 per day on Saturday and Sunday. Executive Club Tickets, which include skybox seating and hospitality, are also available.

Daily Youth Tickets (ages 13-17) are $10 per day and can be purchased at the gate only. Children 12 and under are admitted free if accompanied by a paid adult (limit two children per paid adult). All tickets are subject to space availability. General admission parking is free and complimentary pairings guides are available daily on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Tournament week begins with a Pro-Am on Wednesday, Dec. 13, and the four-day tournament begins Thursday, Dec. 14, and continues through Sunday, Dec. 17.

Sherwood Country Club, which opened 17 years ago, is again expected to provide a stern test for golf's top players. Rated as one of the best golf courses in the world, Sherwood Country club features 1,800 mature oak trees and lush landscaping including waterfalls, jasmine and rose bushes.

Tournament proceeds will benefit the Tiger Woods Learning Center and the Start Something Program. The Tiger Woods Learning Center is a 14 acre, youth-education facility that represents the vision of Tiger Woods and his goal to provide youth from diverse backgrounds an interactive enrichment program that will improve individual aptitude in reading, math, science and technology. As a result, youth will develop personal accountability, independence and resilience leading to greater knowledge of career options and an increase in college enrollment.
