Listed below are the Volunteer positions with an explanation of the responsibilities, days and time required. Please
double check the duties, day and time correspond with your availability.
Marshal Days Needed: Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun Shift Times: Morning: 7a - 12:30p Afternoon:
12:30p - 6p (The Marshal Chairman will contact you with your appropriate time of arrival.) The marshal's responsibilities
consist of providing control over the gallery, ball spotting, rope and gate maintenance for every hole. This is a standing
and or sitting position with limited walking. Volunteers may bring a folding chair. This position requires some
knowledge of golf.
Walking Scorer Days Needed: Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun Shift Times: Morning tee times are 7:15
to 9:15. Afternoon tee times are 12:30 to 2:30. Expect to work approximately 5 to 5.5 hour shifts. (The
Walking Scorer Chairman will contact you with your appropriate time of arrival.) Walking Scorers must be available to work
an entire round and walk the entire 18 holes wearing a provided fanny pack with a palm pilot, radio, battery pack, and voice
radio with his/her assigned contestant. This position requires approximately 45 minutes of training prior to the tournament.
You will be notified of training sessions 1 month before the tournament. This is a physical position, must be able to
walk 18 holes. This position works with the Standard Bearer, and is a great position to team up with a friend or family
member.
Standard Bearer Days Needed: Sat, Sun Shift Times: Morning tee times are 7:15 to 9:15.
Afternoon tee times are 12:30 to 2:30. Expect to work approximately 5 to 5.5 hour shifts. (The Standard Bearer
Chairman will contact you with your appropriate time of arrival.) This is considered a "physical" position, as you will
carry a sign for an entire round of golf. You will be inside the ropes, with the players. This is a physical position,
must be able to walk 18 holes carrying a sign. This position works with the Walking Scorer, and is a great position
to team up with a friend or family member.
Scoring Central Days Needed: This position requires availability each day of the tournament,
(Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun) Shift Times: Approximately 7am to 5:30pm The inside communication center that ties the PGA
Rules Officials, volunteer organization and the PGAtour.com Internet site together for scoring of the tournament. Computer
experience necessary. This position requires training prior to the tournament. You will be notified of training
sessions 1 month before the tournament.
Security / Transportation Days Needed: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun Shift Times:
Morning 7a - 12:30p Afternoon 12:30p - 6p This position will check credentials for locations around the tournament
site, inside the clubhouse, players only areas, front gate, parking lots etc... This position may also include transporting
players to various events in tournament vehicles (valid driver's license required for this job). In many cases, this
position is stationary and does not require much walking. If you are unable to walk or stand for long periods of time,
please indicate such on the application.
Kids Zone Days Needed: Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun Shift Times: Morning 11a - 2p Afternoon:
2p - 5p This position will monitor various activities such as moon bounces, slides, and obstacle courses for the safety
of the children participating. This is NOT a babysitting position, parents are expected and encouraged to stay at the
Kids Zone while their children are playing.
Electronic Scoreboard Set Up and Breakdown Days Needed: Mon, Sun Shift Times: Mon: 6am to
1pm, Sun: 4-8:30pm This position is very physical. You will assist the PGA Tour Officials in set up and take down
of the Electronic Scoreboards out on the course. This position does NOT require a uniform and therefore the Volunteer
Fee is waived.
