Mission

The mission of The Taylor Family Foundation (TTFF) is to enhance the quality of life for children in Northern California suffering from life-threatening illnesses and disabilities.

History

The Taylor Family Foundation (TTFF), a private non-profit organization, was formed in 1991 by Elaine and Barry Taylor to preserve the wellness of children. The Foundation raises money to support programs for children in Northern California with life-threatening illnesses and disabilities.

The foundation has helped thousands of children who suffer from skin, heart disease, crohn's, autism, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases by providing medical care, psycological support and summer camp experience.

"Kids just want to be kids!" We built our summer camp with the hope that these children (and their families) would build self-esteem, experience the joys of camaraderie and build long lasting friendships in a supportive environment.

In 1998, TTFF partnered with East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD), which provided the 138 pristine acres for Camp Arroyo. In 2002, the YMCA of the East Bay joined us as our camp operators. Our unique partnership, combining public and private agencies, has proven to us that by working together, anything is possible.

During the summer months, Camp Arroyo gives these kids the opportunity to meet other children with similar fears and challenges while teaching them to develop independence, build trust and create a sense of community.

During the school year, the camp serves as an environmental education center for local school children.

THE LIVERMORE VALLEY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

The Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center

The Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center was founded in 1998 with a specific mission: to establish and operate a performing arts center in order to promote and encourage the arts and enhance public appreciation, enjoyment and understanding of the arts.

The Vision:

The Livermore, Amador and San Ramon Valleys are blessed with natural and economic resources that define our Tri-Valley community: scenic vistas; two preeminent national laboratories and a growing tourism industry augmented by more than a dozen local wineries.  Amentities such as opera, symphony, theater and dance, as well as regional parks, a community college, excellent schools, golf courses and sports parks, all contribute to the quality of life that area residents enjoy.
With the influx of software, telecommunications and bio-engineering and other high technology companies, a new wave of highly educated, civic minded residents are establishing roots in the valley and searching for opportunities that will enrich the quality of their lives.
