The Bank of America Open (formerly the LaSalle Bank Open) is one of the marquee events on the PGA TOUR's Nationwide Tour.
In addition to exclusive access at this professional TOUR sanctioned event, Bank of America Open volunteers will receive:
- Antigua Technical Golf Shirt
- Hat or Visor
- Two (2) free weekly passes to the tournament
- One (1) free round of golf at the Glen Club if you volunteer for five (5) full shifts during the tournament (shifts are
AM and PM)
All volunteers are asked to work a minimum of two (2) full shifts and participate in a volunteer training session on May
17 or May 24 (details available on our website).
The Bank of America Open thanks all the volunteers for their enthusiastic support and dedication to the event. Without
you, this tournament would quite simply not be possible.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Contestant Shuttle - Shuttle professional contestants via golf cart from the range to the 10th tee, and vice
versa. Must be 18 years or older. POSITION FULL
- Golf Channel Spotter - Assigned to specific groups to report scores and position to television compound and microphone
operators. Times dependent on Golf Channel broadcast schedule. POSITION FULL
- Marshal - Assist with crowd control and enforce proper golf etiquette among spectators as well as locate and
protect errant shots. Marshals must be physically able to walk long distances and stand for a period of time.
- Practice Range - Assist tournament staff at the driving range and other practice facilities. Staff will be filling
small baskets with balls from large barrels, keep the range and practice green neat, fill the coolers with cold drinks, help
insure that non authorized personnel are not allowed on the range, and assist players and caddies by answering questions or
attaining items they may need. POSITION FULL
- Runner - Copy and run score cards to various locations, including outdoor scoreboard, media center, etc.
- Scoring Central - Must have extensive knowledge of golf and be comfortable with electronic scoring equipment.
Will assist with equipment set up, on-course repair and replacement, and tournament scoring. Shifts will likely include time
indoors and outdoors. Must participate in pre-tournament Walking Scorer training and complete one shift as a Walking Scorer.
- Standard Bearer - Must be able to walk 18 holes while carrying a sign displaying name and scores of each player
in the group.
- Transport - Drive official tournament vehicles to transport players to and from airport and host hotel. Also,
assist the tournament staff in the evacuation of golf course if needed. Must be 18 years or older, have valid drivers license
and thorough knowledge of the Glenview and North Shore area. POSITION FULL
- Walking Scorer - Must have extensive knowledge of golf and be able to walk 18 holes. Record the score and statistics
for each player in your group for each hole of the tournament. Wednesday Walking Scorers will act as Greenside Reporters.
