October 2007 Dear Potential Volunteer: If you are someone who enjoys making a difference because of your involvement, someone looking to have a great time or someone who enjoys the game of golf then you are the right person for the Peek'n Peak Classic. The Nationwide Tour is returning to Peek'n Peak Resort's Upper Course the week of June 30 - July 6, 2008. Volunteers are an integral part of a tournament of this magnitude and as the tournament continues to grow more volunteers are needed. We can guarantee you will have a great experience if you decide to join as part of the tournament volunteer team. Shirt sizes are always an issue. To ensure you receive the shirt size you requested your application should be returned by December 31, 2007. Applications received after this date will not be guaranteed the shirt size ordered. We understand if you have changes iin your schedule since we are asking you to commit earlier, but by returning your application in a timely fasion it makes planning easier. Admissions/Will Call : Gate Ticket Sales and Will Call Monday - Sunday 1st Shift: 7:00 am - 12:00 pm 2nd Shift: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm Driving Range: Set up the Range, supply practice balls and display the player's names for the gallery as players practice for their rounds. Monday - Sunday 1st Shift: 5:30 am - 10:00 am 2nd Shift: 10:00 am - 2:30 pm 3rd Shift: 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm Floating Volunteer: To assist with various volunteer needs - wherever help is needed. Monday - Sunday 1st Shift: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm 2nd Shift: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Food Service: Assist with the meal service for the volunteers and caddies at Volunteer Headquarters. Monday - Sunday One Shift Only: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm Gallery Mashal: Provide control over the gallery and mark the location of golf balls that land off the fairway. Thursday - Sunday 1st Shift: 7:00 am - 1:30 pm 2nd Shift: 1:00 pm - After the last group has completed play of the hole. Golf Channel Aide: Assist the golf channel in collecting on course data needed for their broadcast. Approximate shift is 6 hours, which is dictated by airtime for the Tournament. The golf channel establishes this time and therefore volunteers should be available the entire day. Thursday - Sunday Shift: Check first shift. Parking: Maintain parking, traffic control and gate access. Direct and assist spectators to appropriate shuttles. Monday - Sunday 1st Shift: 6:00 am - 12:30 pm 2nd Shift: 12:00 pm - 6:30 pm Scorecard Runner: This is considered a physical position, which involves running scorecards from the finishing tents to scoring central, to the Nationwide Tour Truck and copies to the scoreboard. Thursday - Sunday 1st Shift: 10:30 am - 2:30 pm 2nd Shift: 2:30 pm - until completion of play. Shuttle Drivers: Shuttle professionals, caddies and special guests in mini vans. Must be 25 years of age with a valid driver's license. Monday - Sunday 1st Shift: 6:00 am - 1:30 pm 2nd Shift: 1:00 pm - 7:30 pm Skybox Hospitality: Checking the credentials of guests entering the skyboxes. Thursday - Sunday 1st Shift: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm 2nd Shift: 1:00 pm - Until play is complete. Standard Bearer: This is considered a "physical" position, as you will carry a sign for an entire round of golf (approximately 4.5 hours). Tee times are determined by the Nationwide Tour Rules Officials and will run approximately 7:00 am - 2:30 pm. You will be assigned a tee time and your shift will conclude at the end of the professional's round. Must be able to walk 18 holes on the Upper Course. Thursday & Fiday 1st Shift: Approximate tee times between 7:00 am-9:30 am 2nd Shift:Approximate tee times between 12:00am-2:30pm Saturday & Sunday Tee times begin approximately 7:30 am - 12:00 pm. Times will be assigned on a "seniority basis" at the discretion of the Chairman. Walking Scorer: Walking Scorers should be able to walk 18 holes with his/her assigned contestant wearing a fanny pack with a palm pilot, data radio, battery pack and voice raido. A round is approximately 4.5 hours. A thorough knowledge of golf is necessary for this position as scoring includes recording statistics on a palm pilot. Computer or palm pilot knowledge is a plus. The Tour requires you attend training sessions on the operation of the palm pilot. You will not be allowed to score unless you attend this training. Tee times are determined by the Nationwide Tour Rules Staff. Must be 18 years of age. Thursday & Friday 1st ShiftApproximate tee times between 7:00 am-11:00 am 2nd ShiftApproximate tiee times between 12:00am-2:00 pm Saturday & Sunday Times will be assigned on a "seniority basis" at the discretion of the Chairman. A Special Note to Walking Scorers & Standard Bearers The number of Walking Scorers and Standard Bearers needed on Saturday and Sunday is less than the number required on Thursday and Friday. Therefore, some of the Walking Scorers and Stand Bearers who have signed up for 4 days may be assigned to other divisions on Saturday and Sunday or will be assigned as a walking marshal and will still walk inside the ropes with a designated group. The Chairmen will have the final decision on scheduling. Please be patient and understanding if you are asked to work standby or are assigned another division. VIP Hospitality: Assist in the VIP Hospitality Tent on the Upper Course checking credentials of VIP Hospitality Guests. Thursday - Sunday 1st Shift: 10:30 am - 2:30 pm 2nd Shift: 2:30 pm - Close Volunteer Headquarters: Daily support for all volunteer services. Monday - Sunday 1st Shift: 6:00 am - 11:00 am 2nd Shift: 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
