2004 Champions Tour schedule

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- The 2004 Georgia-Pacific Grand Champions schedule will feature 12 competitions at select Champions Tour events from February through October, including the final event, the Georgia-Pacific Grand Champions Championship, where the winner will take home $86,000 in prize money from the $400,000 purse.

Players age 60 and older who are entered in the full-field Champions Tour event are eligible for the Georgia-Pacific Grand Champions tournament within a tournament. Winners are determined based on scores posted during the first two rounds, except the Georgia-Pacific Grand Champions Championship, which is a 54-hole competition. Weekly purses will be $175,000 with $30,000 going to the winner.

New to 2004 is a charitable contribution made by Georgia Pacific. In the first 11 markets where a Georgia -Pacific Grand Champions event is played, Georgia Pacific will make a local donation on behalf of the Grand Champions winner in the amount of $10,000, with a $25,000 donation to the local market at the Georgia Pacific Grand Champions Championship.
