    • DEFENDING FARMERS INSURANCE OPEN CHAMPION CAPTURES TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP AND FEDEXCUP TITLES

Brandt Snedeker, 2012 Farmers Insurance Open Champion caps off his season with a win at the TOUR Championship to secure FedExCup title

San Diego - (Sept. 24, 2012) 2012 Farmers Insurance Open Champion, Brandt Snedeker capped off a career year Sunday with a victory at the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, which secured him the FedExCup title and a prize purse totaling $11.4 million.

"Farmers Insurance is extremely excited for our 2012 Farmers Insurance Open Champion and his win at the TOUR Championship this past week," said Chuck Browning, Head of Sponsorship and Corporate Giving for Farmers Insurance. "Brandt is a great champion and his play throughout the 2012 FedExCup Playoffs was truly impressive and we look forward to watching him compete this week at the Ryder Cup."

The FedExCup is season-long PGA TOUR playoff competition in which players collect points in each eligible 37 FedExCup Points event which includes tournaments such as the Farmers Insurance Open.

Following a mid-year injury, Snedeker made a push in the second half of the season, with a third place finish at the Open Championship, a second at The Barclays and a sixth at the Deutsche Bank Championship, he found himself among the top 5 in the FedExCup standings going into the season finale. The top 5 players heading into the TOUR Championship controls their destiny as the winner of the tournament in turn secures the FexExCup title. Snedeker shot a third round 64 (low round of the day) on Saturday to enter the final round in a tie for the lead with Justin Rose. Snedeker's consistent iron play and putting, making 61 of 62 putts inside 10 feet, posted a final round 67 to edge Rose by three strokes in the final round and claim the TOUR Championship and FedEx Cup titles.

The final FedExCup points standings is who's who of former Farmers Insurance Open champions with Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Nick Watney joining Snedeker in the top five of the final standings.

Snedeker will take his titles and momentum to Medinah Country Club outside Chicago this week to represent the U.S. at Ryder Cup. Snedeker's surge in the second half of the season earned him a captain's pick on the United States Ryder Cup team. He will join former Farmers Insurance Open champions, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson to take the European Team led by World #1 Rory McIlroy beginning this Friday on NBC.
