Accenture Match Play Championship
27 Years Old
Tiger Woods made it to the finale of the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship for the second time in his career, and this time the game's No. 1 player got the victory. Woods had to beat Carl Pettersson, K.J. Choi, Stephen Leaney, Scott Hoch and Adam Scott to reach the 36-hole championship match with David Toms. He ended winning 2 and 1 -- despite making three bogeys on the closing holes to allow Toms to cut into a 5-down deficit. "I'm starting to feel good," Woods said. "That's no doubt about that. I was on a tear from 1999-2000. It kind of rolled over. I started putting the pieces together again at the end of last year. ¦ My practice sessions at home, I was starting to work on some things that I know I used to do my golf swing that I haven't been able to do because of my leg and things started to come together."
