Like fellow graduate Gavin Coles, Isenhour is one of the four players who have used the Nationwide Tour as an avenue to the PGA TOUR on three occasions. Isenhour won the first and fifth tournaments of the season in 2006, ensuring he would graduate once again. He eventually landed in the fifth spot on the money list, one of a record 10 players to earn more than $300,000. Had spotty results in four seasons on the PGA TOUR, including two that were hampered by injuries. Broke through in his 212th Nationwide Tour start in the Utah EnergySolutions Championship to score his first professional victory and saved his best for last in the Nationwide Tour Championship, where he sealed his second victory by chipping in not once, but twice, on the last two holes as he scored a one-stroke victory over Matt Kuchar and Andrew Buckle. Kanada made 58 PGA TOUR starts in his previous two stints without earning a top 10, but took care of that in his first start of 2007 with a tie for 10th at the Sony Open in Hawaii. Posted eight top 10s and a career-high 14 top 25s to finish third on the Nationwide Tour money list and graduate for the second time. Owns five career top 10s in three full seasons on the PGA TOUR with a career-best third in the 2002 B.C. Open when he closed with a 10-under-par 62 to jump from 47th to third. Missed three cuts in his previous PGA TOUR experience, but started 2007 with a bang, finishing in a tie for fourth at the Sony Open in Hawaii. This PGA TOUR rookie already has won in the game of life, having beaten the odds in conquering acute myeloid leukemia. Was diagnosed at the age of 17 and spent nine months confined to his bed while undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Royal Children’s Hospital in his native Australia. It took another 12 months before he had the strength to walk 18 holes again. Started quickly on the Nationwide Tour in 2006 with a tie for fourth at the Jacob’s Creek Open Championship and a tie for second at the ING New Zealand PGA Championship. Those represented two of Lyle’s seven top 10s as he finished 18th on the Nationwide Tour money list.
