Golf rivalries spill over to gridiron during bowl season

The PGA TOUR is taking a short break before the start of the 2007 season, which gives players a chance to take command of the remote control and indulge themselves in the bowl game frenzy like the rest of us.

And considering the many different schools PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and Nationwide Tour players attended, more than a few will have a vested interest in the outcomes.

Jack Nicklaus, for example, will undoubtedly take time out to watch his alma mater, Ohio State, do battle with Chris DiMarco's Florida Gators for the national title. And Arnold Palmer and 13 other Demon Deacons will be watching as Wake Forest plays Louisville in the Orange Bowl.

The stakes won't be as high for all of them, of course. But judging by the following list, there will be plenty of channels changed over the next three weeks - and celebrations on tap, as well.
