With two eagles on the front side Monday, Tiger Woods was the only player in the field with two eagles on the week. •Monday was the fifth time that Vijay Singh and Tiger Woods have been paired together in the final pairing of a PGA TOUR stroke-play event. •Tiger Woods was 13-under-par (nine birdies and two eagles) on the front nine this week -- without a bogey. His front-nine scoring average was a field-best 32.75. •Brian Bateman (3) posted his third career top-10 this week as he matched his career best (2004 Honda Classic). His paycheck of 374,000 was also the best of his career and he jumps to No. 115 on the PGA TOUR Money List with $613,361. •Steve Stricker (T7) played his way into the Canadian Open next week with his top-10 this week. Stricker now has five top-10s this year and has earned $1,469,688, 40th on the current money list after entering the 2006 campaign with past champion status. •With four rounds of par or better this week, Stephen Leaney (T7) has put together 21 consecutive rounds of par or better, matching Nathan Green for the longest streak of 2006. The T7 was Leaney's first top-10 of the 2006 campaign. •Tiger Woods, Robert Allenby and Frank Lickliter II were the only players without a bogey in the final round. Woods did not make a bogey over the final 47 holes. On the week, there were only six bogey-free rounds. •En route to a T30 finish, defending champion Olin Browne his 51 of 56 fairways (91.1%) on the week. •On Monday, Tiger Woods won his 23rd different tournament on the PGA TOUR in his 12th different state. |
