Editor’s note: Will MacKenzie won his first PGA TOUR title on Sunday at the Reno-Tahoe Open. Here are some of the e-mails PGATOUR.com received congratulating MacKenzie, who now gets to head to Hawaii for the season-opening Mercedes Championships in 2007.
Hey Will, congrats Dude. I always thought you were a great player in
high school. I've got some really neat pictures of us in our high school
days. You were wearing this really big toboggan with a huge ball on the
end. I thought there might be one out of a group of about five or six of
us that would make it to the show. Since 1999, when you came to Cypress
Landing in Chocowinity, N.C., and basically started over, boy, you sure
have come a long way. Congrats and thanks for representing the dudes of
Eastern N.C.
Congratulations Will! Growing up down the street from one another on
Queen Anne's Road, I remember you and Todd Mitchum taking your training
wheels off your bikes before I did, yet I was older. All these years
later, it appears you still excel at everything you do. Congratulations!
I live in Los Angeles, but I know you make Greenville proud!
Willie Mac Attackalak! Good looking out there kid. Followed the whole
tourney from Chi-town. Lots of eagle dances in the mix. Birddog on the
72nd hole was sickies.
Will, congrats on winning! I hope Barry was on the bag. Met you in
Richmond, Va. and have known Barry's family for a long time. Good luck
with the rest of the season. It should be a great time for you without
as much pressure. Enjoy it!
Congratulations Will, I am proud of you. What an outstanding display of
golf. From your Monday pro-am partner.
Will Mac, it is with great pleasure that I send you this message from
Ft. Ticonderoga on behalf of Carl Lipbaum. We are very proud and wish
many, many, many more victories!
Will, congrats. I never doubted that you would win. I am sure all your
success goes back to my coaching you in Little League baseball and all
the lessons you learned about competition. Just kidding! We are all so
proud of you. Keep on truckin’!
WILL! We are so excited we can't stand it! We love you so much and we
are so incredibly proud of you!
Will, Great job. Vince and I have been keeping up with you every step of
the way. Always knew it was going to happen, it was just a matter of
when and where. Couldn't be prouder. Keep up the good work. The claw is
money in the bank!
Congratulations Will! The entire staff of the Greenville Recreation and
Parks Department is so proud of you and what you have accomplished.
Another proud moment for Sportstown USA, Greenville, N.C. Keep up the
good work! Boyd Lee, Recreation and Parks Director Will, I was the
standard bearer for your round on Saturday. I was so impressed with both
your skill and your relaxed attitude. I'm so glad you won -- and I'm
looking forward to watching more victories in the future!
Congratulations Will! Sharon and I were watching the tournament on
TOURCast with Skip and Judy Bright when you made the putt on 18. I think
I jumped higher than I have in 40 years when the message came through
that you had made it. I called Shannon immediately and she is very happy
for you. The replay is on The Golf Channel tonight (Sunday) from 10:30
p.m. until 1:00 a.m. There will be a lot of bleary eyes in Greenville,
N.C. tomorrow morning. Best of luck the rest of the year.
Congratulations Will! I work at Greenville Fire/Rescue and follow your
results weekly. It's great fun watching someone from home on the "Big
Show." Since I'm not quite at your level, okay, not even close, it's
entertaining watching a hometown hero live out our dreams. Maybe you can
come back to Farmville and give us a few lessons! Best of luck in the
future and again congrats on your first (of hopefully many) wins.
Congratulations Will. I've followed all of your tournaments since you
made the TOUR. What a thrill to watch you win in Reno! Best of luck in
the future. Regards.Major Bob Antolick U.S. Army, Wilson, N.C.
We are so proud of you! We found out about your great win after we got
home from sailing. Everyone in Greenville is very excited about your
success. Good luck and, most importantly, have fun.
Willie-Mack: Way to go, bro. Everyone in Greenville is proud of you.
Congrats. We knew you were due to win one! |
