Woody Austin
His playing record stands out at the Reno-Tahoe Open, especially those
four top 10s in his last nine starts (and two in the last three). He's
struggled with final-round scoring this season (72.17, 139th) so that 73 to
finish off the PGA Championship (and drop four spots to a tie for 16th)
actually is a big improvement over earlier form. In fact, it was his first
Sunday round above 70 since the U.S. Open.

He's been through a tough year, but things are coming together. Fast.

Shaun Micheel
He comes to Reno with confidence after that second-place finish at the PGA Championship. Micheel shot under par in all four rounds -- including that pressure-packed Sunday when he gutted out a 69. Will this be the week he shows the 2003 PGA was just the start of things to come?

Harrison Frazar
Keeps knocking on the door for his first victory, and this may be the place in an opposite-field event that has many good players but not the top tier. He was actually in the mix of top 10 at the PGA Championship until a closing 73 dropped him to 20th, still a fine finish.

Daniel Chopra
The winning score in Reno this week will probably be around 20 under par and Chopra enters the event tied for fourth in birdie average. His scoring has not converted to victories yet, but with a rank of second in putting average and fifth in putts-per-round I think this could be his week.

Woody Austin
Not sure what he changed or tweaked, but Austin has done something lately. He was 14 under in Milwaukee, 18 under at the Buick Open and a very solid 6 under at the PGA Championship. He's third on TOUR in total birdies, so why not take a chance on Mr. Austin?
