The playoff was just the third in INTERNATIONAL history, the others being 1994 (Steve Lowery over Clarence Rose) and 1996 (Clarence Rose over Brad Faxon). It was also the fifth playoff of the 2006 PGA TOUR season.

Dean Wilson’s PGA TOUR playoff record is 1-0. Tom Lehman’s PGA TOUR playoff record is 0-3, having lost to Tiger Woods (1997 Mercedes Championships) and Tim Herron (1999 Bay Hill Invitational).

Dean Wilson becomes the first Hawaiian-born player to win on the PGA TOUR since David Ishii, who won the 1990 Hawaiian Open.

The 34-point totals by Dean Wilson and Tom Lehman were the most since 2003 when Davis Love III set the mark for the current format with 46. The 12 for Dean Wilson were the most for a winner since Rich Beem posted 19 in 2002.

Dean Wilson led the field with 22 birdies this week.

Daisuke Maruyama led the field with 13 points on Sunday. Maruyama jumped from tied for 12th to tied for third, his career-best finish.

Australia’s Nathan Green (9) posted his sixth top-10 of the 2006 season, tops among rookies. Trevor Immelman, winner of the Cialis Western Open, has five top-10s.

Bubba Watson entered this week’s action ranked No. 173rd in Putting Average (1.814) but led the field in Putting Average this week (1.457). He also led the field in Driving Distance at 352.3 yards. Entering this week, Watson was the leader in Driving Distance at 319.3 yards.
