LODDEKOPINGE, Sweden -- Marc Warren beat Robert Karlsson with a routine par on the second playoff hole Sunday to win the Scandinavian Masters for his first European Tour title.

Karlsson, trying to become the first player to win back-to-back European Tour titles this year, double-bogeyed after two visits to the trees.

Both players finished regulation at 10-under 278. Warren closed with a 69 after three birdies on the last six holes, while Karlsson, who broke the course record with a 63 Saturday, had a 71.

Warren had missed four straight cuts and was only 129th in the Order of Merit before coming to Sweden.

Richard Sterne was third, one shot behind, while Marcel Siem of Germany was another stroke back in fourth.
