Last week: Corey Pavin won the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee for his first PGA TOUR title in 10 years, shooting 61-64-68-67 for a two-stroke victory over Jerry Kelly. The 46-year-old Pavin has 15 career victories.

Notes: Woods, the 2002 winner, won the British Open two weeks ago at Royal Liverpool for his 11th major title and 49th PGA TOUR victory. He has an endorsement deal with Buick. ... Singh won the Barclays Classic in June for his 29th tour title. ... The INTERNATIONAL is next week in Castle Rock, Colorado, followed by the PGA Championship at Medinah in Illinois.

Notes: Arnold Palmer teamed with Tom Lehman to design the TPC Twin Cities. ... Hale Irwin won the 2002 event on the TPC course and took the 1997 and 1999 titles at Bunker Hills. ... Notes: Karlsson, Stenson and fellow Swedes Johan Edfors and Niclas Fasth, all European tour winners this season, top the field along with PGA TOUR winner Carl Pettersson, longtime Swedish stars Jesper Parnevik and Fredrik Jacobson, New Zealand's Michael Campbell and Americans Brad Faxon and Todd Hamilton. ... Parnevik won in 1995 at Barseback to become the first Swede to win a European tour event in Sweden. He also won in 1998 at Kungsangen. ... The KLM Open is next week in the Netherlands.

Last week: Australia's Karrie Webb won the Evian Masters in France for her LPGA Tour-leading third victory of the season, closing with a 4-under 68 for a one-stroke victory over Wie and Laura Davies.

Notes: The 16-year-old Wie, winless in 31 LPGA Tour starts, has four second-place finishes in the last two seasons. ... Sorenstam won the 2003 tournament at Royal Lytham to complete the career Grand Slam. She will be in Sweden next week for her own European tour event, the Scandinavian TPC hosted by Annika. ...
