Here's what our experts have to say about Michelle Wie making the cut.

Brett Avery, The Fantasy Insider

Yes

As this week's Fantasy Insider column notes, she's ready to make a PGA TOUR cut. Once that happens, the gallery will go absolutely, stark-raving deliriously nuts with every good shot. Wouldn't you like to see her shoot a little 68 in the last group on Sunday?

Sorry. Everyone's focusing on her putting, which does need to improve, but her short-to-mid iron play isn't PGA TOUR rated yet, either. Yes, she's talented. Yes, she can whack it out there on this wide open layout. Yes, she came within two shots last year. And, yes, she's coming off a good U.S. Women's Open. But there's still work to do.

She'll come tantalizingly close once again. The 16-year-old phenom's putter betrays her at crucial times, though, and she's still looking to establish herself as a closer. The pressure she'll face on Friday afternoon at the TPC Deere Run will be just as great as any final-group pairing on Sunday. That being said, she's played extremely well of late -- reaching the quarterfinals of last week's HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship, tying for third at the U.S. Women's Open the previous week and sharing fifth at the McDonald's LPGA Championship. It wouldn't be a shock, but I don't think it will happen this year.

While she would make the cut if the cut remains around par, I'm not sure that will happen. If the guys go crazy low, I don't know if she can maintain that pace, and with the potential for rain, that might be what happens.

No she will not make the cut. She will be hurt by a lack of accuracy from the tee, but more importantly, her inconsistent putting will keep her from playing on the weekend.

This is the week. Finally. Look, she's been close only to falter down the stretch. So why not here? Why not now? As opposed to her other efforts, she's coming here having played regularly and consistently well. She has all the shots and if her putting is just a wee bit better (get it?), she makes the cut and makes it with ease.
