BUICK INVITATIONAL NOTES • First victory at the Buick Championship comes in his eighth appearance at this tournament. • Becomes the 11th player to win his first PGA TOUR event at the Buick Championship and the first since Brent Geiberger in 1999. His third-round 7-under 63 is a career-best for him at the TPC River Highlands. 2006 NOTES • Earns a spot in the field for the British Open Championship – the leading player, not otherwise exempt, among the top 10 finishers and ties from the 2006 Buick Championship. • Collects $792,000 first-place check, the largest of his career, which brings his season earnings on the PGA TOUR to $1,616,683, ranked 21st. He becomes the 46th player to surpass $1 million in season earnings in 2006. • Becomes the sixth first-time winner on the PGA TOUR in 2006 through 27 TOUR events. He joins J.B.
