Play is scheduled to finish at approximately 2:30 p.m. • This is the first time in his career that J.J. Henry has held a 54-hole lead in a PGA TOUR event. Henry, who is making his 177th career PGA TOUR start this week, has never won on the TOUR. He won the 2000 Nationwide Knoxville Open. In Knoxville, he had a three-stroke lead through 54-holes and fired a closing 1-over 73 to win by one stroke. • J.J. Henry may have never lead a TOUR event after 54-holes, but he has played in the final pairing on Sunday one other time in his career. Henry was one-stroke back of J.B. Holmes through 54-holes at the 2006 FBR Open. He played with Holmes and Ryan Palmer in the final grouping on Sunday. He finished tied for second with Camilo Villegas, Steve Lowery, Ryan Palmer and Scott Verplank. • The winner of the Buick Championship will collect $792,000 and the second place finisher will collect $475,200. To date, J.J. Henry’s largest payday on the PGA TOUR is $378,000, when he finished second at the 2001 Kemper Insurance Open. Herny, who has earned $824,683 in 2006 and ranks 51st on the TOUR money list, is looking to surpass the $1 million mark for a season for the second time in his career. He earned over $1 million in his rookie season in 2001.
• J.J. Henry has recorded 13 rounds in the 60s out of 25 competitive
rounds at the Buick Championship. Saturday’s round of 7-under 63 is a
career-best for him at the TPC River Highlands. He posted a 4-under 66
in the first round in 2003. His two best rounds on the PGA TOUR have
