Vijay, I am very proud of your win this afternoon. It reinstates my belief that hard work pays off. I hope next year you win THE PLAYERS Championship, a tournament in your own backyard. You certainly have done well in Houston, Texas, my backyard. Three victories in four years is no mean performance. I hope you continue to include Houston in your TOUR itinerary. Next week you will be joined by India's Jeev Singh at the U.S. Open. I hope Vijay and Jeev sing along and do well. Back in the late 1950s, after my swimming training, I used to watch Jeev's father Milkha Singh train across the athletic stadium for the 1960 Rome Olympics. I believe Jeev, along with Daniel Chopra, Jyoti Randhawa, Arjun Atwal, numerous youngsters in Fiji (your homeland) and others who associate with your name take pride and are thrilled at your performance. There may not be Fiji or India represented in the World Cup in Germany, but there are two Singhs included in the most prestigious golf tournament next week. Thanks for your support of Indians golf in Houston. I hope in the next month you complete the coveted slam. It will top winning the World Cup in Germany!
