Adam Scott now has produced four consecutive top-5s on the PGA TOUR -- a solo third at the Wachovia Championship, a T3 at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, a T4 at the Memorial Tournament and a solo second at this week's Barclays Classic.

Scott posted two eagles on Sunday and led the field with three for the week.

The 24-foot eagle putt for Scott on his 72nd hole for second place and $621,000 was worth $191,667, as a birdie would have put him in a three-way tie for second ($429,333.34).

Still searching for his first PGA TOUR win in his 268th career PGA TOUR event, Brett Quigley (T3) is fifth all-time on the PGA TOUR career money list among players without a win, behind Tim Clark, Harrison Frazar, Briny Baird and Brandt Jobe.

Four players posted four rounds of par or better this week -- Brett Quigley, Tom Pernice, Jr., Graeme McDowell and Jeff Maggert.

The field played the final round playing the ball as it lies. The first three rounds utilized 'preferred lies,' commonly known as lift, clean and place.

Playing in his 22nd PGA TOUR event since his last victory at the 2005 Buick Open, Vijay Singh ends the drought with his third Barclays Classic win.

Singh had not finished among the top 25 in his last four starts, the first time he had posted four consecutive finishes outside the top 25 since 2000 when he had five consecutive (World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship (T33), Doral-Ryder Open (T36), Honda Classic (T50), Bay Hill Invitational (T29) and THE PLAYERS Championship (T33). Despite this sub-par string of tournaments, Singh went on to win his next start -- at the Masters Tournament.

The winning total of 274 by Singh was the same total posted by Padraig Harrington a year ago.

Singh now has seven top-10s in 14 career starts at the Barclays Classic and is the first three-time champion of the Barclays Classic. He now has three wins at five different events on the PGA TOUR.

Fifteen Barclays Classic have been scheduled the week prior to the U.S. Open. The following chart lists the year-by-year results from the two events:

Three players have won both the Barclays Classic and the U.S. Open in the same year -- Nicklaus (1967, 1972), Irwin (1990) and Els (1997). Irwin and Els both won the Barclays Classic the week after capturing the U.S. Open while the event was held in August, the week after the PGA Championship, when Nicklaus won his title.

There have been five multiple winners of the Barclays Classic: Seve Ballesteros, Jack Nicklaus, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh and Sergio Garcia.
