Editor’s note: Jim Furyk won his first PGA TOUR title of the season on Sunday at the Wachovia Championship. Here are some of the e-mails PGATOUR.com received congratulating Furyk, who now gets to head to Hawaii for the season-opening Mercedes Championships in 2007.
Jim, I had the opportunity to marshal the 12th hole three days last week
and thoroughly enjoyed watching you play. I didn't work on Sunday, but
watched the final round on CBS. Congratulations on a great win. I have
never experienced a PGA TOUR event live like that before and you guys
are good!! Thanks for the memories.
Way to go Jimmy. It was great watching you make clutch shots and putts
down the stretch. Great going and I'll see you in a few weeks at the
Exelon.
Jim, congratulations!!! You've given Srixon our first win on the PGA
TOUR in '06 and our second win ever! Going to the office tomorrow
morning just got a whole lot easier. Your hard work and diligence is
paying off. Keep it up! Looks like it's back to Maui in January. Hope to
see you again in October here in Atlanta. Send my best to the family.
Congratulations, Jim on your exciting victory over a tremendous field at
the Wachovia Championship in Charlotte. You showed a lot of grit and
determination all day on Sunday, making one clutch putt after another.
It was great to see you pull it out after falling just short at Hilton
Head last month. You and Tiger are the two grittiest competitors on the
PGA Tour. You both are also my two favorite golfers. I can't wait to see
you guys paired up at the Ryder Cup. Congratulations on a great win and
I hope you continue to enjoy success the rest of 2006!
Jim, congrats on your victory at Wahcovia! I am a huge fan of yours and
look forward to seeing you at the PGA Championship here in Chicago. Oh yeah.....GO STEELERS!
Congratulations Jim, from all your friends at Piero's Restaurant in
Lancaster County! You show us the meaning of "Never give up!"
Jim, congratulations on your redemption at the Wachovia Championship. I
remember our Lancaster Lebanon League Basketball Championship game in
1988 (Warwick vs Manheim Twp). We follow every event you are in. Keep
playing well.
Jim, as a Wachovia employee and longtime golf fan, congratulations on
becoming our tournament's fourth champion. You'll represent us well in
2007 as the defending champion. You played sterling golf on a difficult
track amid tough conditions today and against a great field -- proving
yet again your blend of great golf skills with mental mettle. Best of
luck for the rest of 2006, the next major and the Ryder Cup ! |
