Editor’s note: Aaron Baddeley won his first PGA TOUR title Sunday at the Verizon Heritage. Here are some of the e-mails PGATOUR.com received congratulating Baddeley, who now gets to head to Hawaii for the season-opening Mercedes Championships in 2007. Watch highlights of Baddeley's victory.
Aaron, I am a 17-year-old senior in high school at a private Christian
school in Winchester, Virginia and I just wanted to say how excited I am
that you won your first PGA TOUR event. I greatly admire your game and
your great testimony of faith. I have followed you ever since I heard
about your faith and dedication. It was a great honor to get to see you
play at the Booz
Allen Classic last year. It was an amazing experience to get
to see you play in person. I would love to meet you in person sometime,
and to maybe hit golf balls with you -- that would be the highlight of
my life. I hope that you get to read this and hope you win more
tournaments this year and throughout your career.
Congratulations Aaron. A few weeks ago when you spoke at Phoenix First,
you stated you were being patient and everything was in God’s time. I
guess you probably weren't surprised when it happened on Easter. Keep
doing what you’re doing. You have your priorities straight!
Aaron, congrats. I met you at the Knoxville Open. Proud of your win but
more proud of your faith.
This was a very impressive win. Aaron's great play off the tee, solid
ball striking and touch on the green was actually surpassed by his
wonderful demeanor. It was really a pleasure to watch him get his first
PGA TOUR victory. Congratulations Aaron!
Congratulations on your victory! Thank you for being a positive
Christian role model. You will always have the support of the Harris
family in Omaha, Neb.
I would like to say how proud I am of you winning the tournament Sunday.
But I am more proud that you were not ashamed to admit that you are a
Christian. We need more people in places of influence to witness of
their faith in Christ. May you continue to be blessed as you are a
blessing for others.
Aaron, congratulations on your two great victories -- your demonstration
of your faith and your win on the golf course. Both of these "wins" are
wonderful examples for our youngsters of what faith and sport are truly
about.
Aaron, congratulations on your victory at the Verizon Heritage. I have
to admit I was rooting for (and always do) for Jim Fuyrk since he grew
up in Lancaster, Pa. where I live. My disappointment was tempered
however knowing a fellow believer and one who openly acknowledged his
faith won. |
