Notes: No blemishes for Bubba Watson

Just in case you missed this one, long-hitting Bubba Watson finished the Chrysler Classic of Tucson last week without making a single bogey. While he may be the longest hitter on TOUR, he has touch, too. He got it up and down 11 out of 11 times when he missed a green last week.

Only six players have finished among the top 30 money winners in each of the last five seasons -- Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, David Toms, Davis Love III, Kenny Perry and Chris DiMarco.

David Branshaw and Charley Hoffman both graduated to the PGA TOUR this year from the Nationwide Tour. Each enjoyed his first career top-10 finish last week in Tucson. Branshaw finished in solo sixth while Hoffman earned a tie for ninth. Two-time TOUR winner Gabriel Hjertstedt enjoyed his first top-10 since he tied for fourth at the 2001 Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic.

Jason Gore looks like he’s regained his form after tying for seventh last week in Tucson with four consecutive rounds in the 60s.

Tiger Woods has won in 11 different states on TOUR. He has 10 wins in California and eight in Florida in his career.

Here’s a good gauge of how international golf is these days -- there are 10 countries represented among the top 20 players on the Official World Golf Ranking.
