In the eight Presidents Cup matches where the U.S.Team won the first hole, the Americans had a record of 7-0-1, while the International Team was 5-4-2 in the 11 matches where they did the same. Of those 19 matches, the U.S. came away with 12.5 points. Overall, Robert Trent Jones Golf Club presented a fair challenge to both sides, with neither side having a real strong advantage on any particular segment of the course. Presidents Cup Hole Stats • The U.S. had a slight advantage on the par 3s, especially on the front side, winning 40 compared to 32 for the International side while 62 were halved. • The U.S. won the 18th hole in five of the 12 matches that made it there -- including Chris DiMarco's Cup-clinching performance on Sunday. The two squads halved the hole the other seven times a match reached No. 18. • The International Team took advantage of Nos. 8, 13 and 16 at RTJ, winning those holes 34 times compared to 17 for the U.S. Team. • The biggest advantage for the U.S. came on Nos. 7, 11 and 18 as the Americans won those holes 28 times compared to 11 for the Internationals.
