Modified Stableford points system

The PGA TOUR's The INTERNATIONAL is conducted under a Modified Stableford points system. So instead of getting a medal score like 68 or 72, a player earns points for each birdie, eagle or double eagle he makes. Pars are worth nothing, and points are subtracted for bogeys or worse.

Expect to see a lot of fireworks this week at Castle Pines Golf Club since the reward of a birdie or eagle far outweighs the risk of a bogey.

Points are awarded as follows:
Score Points
Double eagle 8
Eagle 5
Birdie 2
Par 0
Bogey -1
Double bogey/Other -3
