Angel Cabrera used some impressive ball-striking and putting to win his third career PGA TOUR title at The Greenbrier Classic on Sunday. In fact, he ranked in the top 11 in five major statistical categories.
Cabrera, who entered with just two top-25 finishes in 16 events and ranked 145th in greens in regulation, hit 57 greens on the week at The Old White TPC to rank first in the field at 79.17 percent. He also ranked fifth in strokes gained-putting, picking up 1.574 shots on the field average -- not too shabby considering he entered the week at 90th in SGP on TOUR.
Cabrera also managed to escape the rough off the tee, hitting 46 of 56 fairways to rank fourth in the field. He entered the week ranked 156th in driving accuracy at 56.39 percent.
