Breaking down Power Rankings: Bridgestone Invitational

By Krystyna Braxton and Jessica Rangel, PGATOUR.COM

Who is the favorite to win this year's World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational? According to the statistics it is Steve Stricker.

After examining Rob Bolton's Power Rankings, the 20 players’ statistics from the 2013 season were broken down.

Statistics from the following six categories were examined: driving distance, driving accuracy, proximity to the hole, greens in regulation, scrambling and strokes gained-putting. Then each player’s rank was added together creating a  "Combined Ranking" category.

Steve Stricker totaled 202, by adding his ranking in each category 118+8+1+48+14+13=202.

Here is a look at the breakdown of the Power Rankings. The number in parentheses after each player’s name denotes his ranking in Power Rankings.

The asterisk (*) denotes players that do not have enough qualifying events to officially register in the rankings. However, it is the rankings where they would stand if they did qualify.
