Tiger Woods is seeking his fourth U.S. Open title this week at Merion Golf Club. This would be Woods’ first major win in the past five years, his last being the U.S. Open in 2008.
This season he has four wins, the same number of wins he had in the 2000 season heading into the tournament. Yet in 2000, Woods won the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance, which was the last tournament he played before the U.S. Open.
This year he was T65 at the Memorial. Below is a comparison of Woods’ pre-U.S. Open seasons in years he won compared to this season.
