The PGA TOUR can be an unpredictable place when it comes to fashion, but there's always one thing you can be certain of: Tiger Woods' Sunday Red -- no matter the tournament, no matter the season, no matter his position on the leaderboard. Woods began the tradition in 1996 and has consistently worn some form of red shirt in the final round of all tournaments he plays ever since. It is partially a nod to his alma mater -- the Stanford Cardinal -- and partially because he believes the color symbolizes his aggression and assertiveness in the game. We've compiled a collection of 12 images tracking Tiger's Sunday Red through the years.

The red that means business
In a U.S. Open that will go down as one of the best in the tournament's long history, Tiger Woods wore his signature, plain-red, get-to-work, golf shirt as he chased down the lead and secured himself a spot in a two-man playoff for the year's second major. He, of course, went on to win the playoff against Rocco Mediate (who also wore red and black in his duel against the world's No. 1). This is the shirt that wins the big ones.
