SYNOPSIS
 Tiger's 69th win was one of his more interesting ones. Woods opened with a 1-under 71 that left him tied for 95th -- and in danger of missing a second straight cut for the first time in his career (he had missed the cut in his previous start at the British Open). Tiger came back on Friday morning, though, and opened with a birdie-birdie-eagle-birdie-birdie stretch, which was the best start to a round in his career, to fuel thoughts of the magical 59. He fell short of that, but by the time he finished off the second-round 9-under 63, Woods was all but in control of the tournament. He owned the lead after a 65 on Saturday and lengthened it on a raucous and rambunctious Sunday as he joined Vijay Singh as only the second three-time winner of the Buick Open. It marked the 47th time in 50 tournaments that Woods has won when holding or sharing the 54-hole lead. Woods also kept intact an impressive streak of never having shot above par in 36 rounds at Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club.
