SYNOPSIS
 Tiger Woods was among many players who took advantage of the uncharacteristically sunny Irish weather and a Mount Juliet course playing at its most benign. He opened with a pair of 65s and added a 67 Saturday that left him five strokes clear of six players, including Retief Goosen. What seemed in the bag wasn't, though, as the South African went on a back-nine tear -- making four birdies and an eagle on the 17th hole to pull within a shot of Woods. Woods, who was on the 16th green when he heard the roar, proceeded to birdie the 17th to gain some breathing room. Despite making his only bogey of the tournament on the final hole, Woods won at 26 under. "You had to keep making birdies because it wasn't playing hard at all," Woods said. "I knew somebody was going to make a run; somebody would shoot a now number. But I didn't figure it to be that low. You go out and shoot 66, you think you've got one."
